The Break-Even Point

How much does it cost to trade in Israel? All the costs (updated 2026)

An open dossier showing the costs of independent trading from Israel: platform, real-time data, broker, trading journal and infrastructure. Every figure carries a currency, a source and the date it was checked — and anything we could not verify is not here.

These figures are meant to give an order of magnitude, not a binding price. They describe an individual who is an Israeli tax resident, and the tax assumptions behind them are Israel-specific. Prices and tariffs change, the exchange rate moves, and any single number here may already be out of date. Every row carries a source and a date — check anything that matters to you against them.

The price list

One tool per row: the figure shown, what it comes to in shekels, the source, the date it was checked and the certainty stamp that says how well it is backed. Nothing is pulled automatically — a person opens the source and reads it.

TradingView’s pricing page opens on annual billing: it shows the effective monthly price with the annual saving beside it ($24 a year). The monthly-billing price is derived from those two figures and was not read from the monthly toggle, which is why this row is graded secondary.

Real-time market data
TradingView — real-time U.S. stock data package
Note on this row

The price shown is the non-professional subscriber tariff. The same page also publishes a professional tariff, which is far higher. The exchange decides which category a subscriber falls into — we do not. Delayed data (usually 10–15 minutes) is free, and this package is needed only by someone who needs real-time quotes.

The price shown is the non-professional subscriber tariff. The same page also publishes a professional tariff, which is far higher. The exchange decides which category a subscriber falls into — we do not. The professional tariff for the same data is published on that page at $548 a month. Here too, delayed data costs nothing.

Broker and commissions
Interactive Brokers — U.S. stock trading commission (Fixed plan)
Note on this row

This is a per-trade charge, not a monthly subscription, so the row has no fixed monthly price — in the calculator it is represented by a free-form monthly estimate field instead. The broker’s tariff page blocked automated reading (403) during the check, so the figure is graded secondary: open the link and check it against your own plan and market.

Israeli stock-exchange member — monthly account fee
Note on this row

An indicative amount across Israeli stock-exchange members. In most cases it is offset against that month’s trading commissions, so in an active month it may fall to zero. No single price page covers every provider: each publishes its own tariff, and the rate that actually applies is agreed customer by customer. The link goes to one provider’s own published tariff, not an Israel-wide tariff — check the tariff of the provider you use.

Note on this row

The price depends on the length of the subscription: $15 for a single month, $13 a month on a three-month subscription, $10.83 a month with a six-month subscription and $10 a month with a twelve-month subscription. The monthly column shows the single month; the annual-billing column shows the effective monthly price on a twelve-month subscription. Neither figure is a universal monthly rate.

Google AI Pro (Gemini)
Note on this row

Google’s subscriptions page prices by the visitor’s country: the check from Israel displayed ₪74.9 a month, including Israeli VAT. The published USD price, $19.99 a month, was not displayed in that check, so this row is graded secondary. Every other row in the dossier is shown excluding VAT, so the USD amount is what is shown here too.

Converted at approximately ILS 3.00 per USD, as of 5 August 2026 — the shekel column is for illustration only. Prices are shown as the provider publishes them, excluding Israeli VAT, and a card issuer’s currency-conversion fee is generally added on top of them — check your own tariff.

Prices may change — check the provider’s own site. All trademarks belong to their owners; the mentions here are textual only and do not indicate any cooperation or connection.

What the price list does not include

Broker commissions, currency conversions, foreign securities taxes and account fees — all of them charged per trade or agreed per customer, and all of them varying between providers. Those figures come from the tariff page of the provider you actually use.

A worked example

A day trader who holds a TradingView Plus subscription, a real-time U.S. stock data package and a trading journal pays ₪249.70 a month — ₪2,996.40 a year. Under this calculator’s stated assumptions — an individual Israeli tax resident whose trading is classified as capital rather than business activity, taxed at 25% on the real capital gain — the pre-tax cost-coverage amount is ₪332.93 a month — ₪3,995.20 a year.

This is an arithmetic gross-up of the selected costs. It is not a return target, a recommendation or a forecast.

  • TradingView Plus ₪104.85 a month
  • TradingView — real-time U.S. stock data package ₪29.85 a month
  • Trading journal — Bullia PRO (yes, that is us) ₪115 a month

Calculated from the price list in this dossier, on monthly billing, at ILS 3.00 per USD as of 5 August 2026. The full assumptions are in the “How we calculated” folder.
